TDS EVENT CALENDAR
The Dark Sire Literary Journal is all about making opportunities happen for its authors. And opportunities come in many forms, from author events, panel discussions, and writing conferences to film production, fiction podcasts, and now career consultations with a publishing professional. Below is a list of where you can find TDS-hosted events and/or TDS and author appearances.

Destination Outlets: Ohio Authors Book Fair
TDS will be represented at the BSC Publishing Group table, with some of the TDS authors on-site to sign copies of available issues for purchase. Bre Stephens (EIC and Owner of TDS and BSC) will be available for book/story pitches and author advice.
The event is both indoors and outside. TDS' table is indoors in Suite 8580.

Dover Public Library: Canal Town Book Festival
TDS will be represented at the BSC Publishing Group table, with some of the TDS authors on-site to sign copies of available issues for purchase. Bre Stephens (EIC and Owner of TDS and BSC) will be available for book/story pitches and author advice.
This event is during The Canal Dover Days Festival in downtown Dover, Ohio. Look for the table on the corner of Wooster and 3rd.

Dover Public Library: THE DARK SIRE presents The Creative Quill Writing Conference
This is TDS' 2nd Annual anniversary celebration. To celebrate, TDS is hosting a 1-day writing conference. The conference will have different sessions running that will focus on the craft of writing (characterization, world building, dialogue, unique voices), publishing (traditional vs small press vs indie publishing, current writing trends, querying agents), and genre writing (gothic and horror). Literary Agent Bre Stephens will be presenting, taking pitches, and doing 1-page critiques. Registration is required and will open in January. Guest speakers include Nancy Holzner (author, NY), John Kiste (author, OH), Gwendolyn Kiste (Stoker Award Winning author, PA), Villimey Mist (author, Iceland), Kaleb Tutt (author, R.I.), and S.M. Cook (EIC: The Dark Sire). Ohio writer's groups will also be present to discuss group activities and membership so writers can network even more. For more information, visit: Creative Quill

A presentation on literary magazine publishing, with authors' discussion panel and book signing. TDS authors in attendance will be John Kiste, S. M. Cook, Krista Canterbury Adams, and Kaleb Tutt. After the event, Literary Agent Bre Stephens will be available to talk with writers in attendance and listen to pitches.

The Dark Sire will have a table with several past and current issues of the magazine. Readers and authors are welcome to stop by to learn more about TDS, literary magazine publishing, and our authors.
